Each chapter provides a concise overview of the technologies that comprise Solaris 10, a review of the typical operations used for installation and configuration, worked examples, and a command reference. While it is not possible to provide information on every command—the online reference material at http://docs.sun.com/ is excellent, after all— this book provides you with easily accessible examples, where the reason why you might use certain commands is clearly explained. This is usually what is missing from man pages and other system documentation, which are designed to be concise. This reference is divided into six parts that cover all of the tactical activities associated with Solaris 10 system administration.
