In a properly configured and well-maintained NetBackup environment, you can expect backup success to be the norm. Because NetBackup is a very robust application in terms of detecting and reporting errors, when problems do occur, you should be able to track them down and correct them quite reliably. You already know that a Status Code 0, and the accompanying “success” icon, in the Activity Monitor indicates that a backup job completed successfully. Any other status code or icon indicates that a backup was only partially successful or failed altogether.
