In this contribution, we propose a TFCI coding scheme for 1.28 Mcps TDD option when 8PSK
modulation is used.
In 1.28 Mcps TDD option, when QPSK modulation is used, the current TFCI coding scheme is the
same as that of 3.84 Mcps TDD option; depending on the number of TFCI bits, repetition, biorthogonal,
or the second order Reed-Muller codes are used for TFCI encoding. When 8PSK
modulation is used, the odd bits of these encoded bits are repeated to obtain a TFCI encoding for
8PSK [1].
