This textbook was written with the goal of providing a modern treatment of signals and systems at the undergraduate level. It covers both continuous-time and discrete-time signals and systems, and can be used as the main textbook for a one-semester introductory course in signals and systems or for a two-semester course sequence. It can also be used for self study. Writing style is student-friendly, starting with the basics of each topic and advancing gradually. Proofs and derivations that may safely be skipped at a first reading are color coded. Also, important concepts and conclusions are highlighted to stand out. No prior signals and systems knowledge is assumed. The level of presentation is appropriate for a second or third year engineering student with differential calculus background.
